Sales and career performance coaching in Moncton: a jagged line settling into a steady upward climb with the words lower stress, real confidence, better numbers

Sales & Career Performance Coaching in Moncton: Lower Stress, Real Confidence, Better Numbers

Most people who miss their targets don’t have a skills problem. They know the product, they know the process, and they have usually worked harder than anyone around them. What they have is a stress problem, a confidence problem, or both, and they have been trying to fix it with more effort. Sales and career performance coaching starts somewhere most training skips: getting the pressure down to a level where you can actually use what you already know.

Andrew Maillet offers performance coaching for sales professionals, business owners, managers, and anyone whose work depends on speaking, presenting, or persuading. The approach combines practical sales-leadership experience, including building and coaching sales teams from the ground up, with more than 20 years of clinical work in stress, focus, and behaviour change. Sessions are available at Naturology Centre in Moncton and by secure video across New Brunswick.

When this approach fits

  • You know the job but keep coming in under your own expectations, and pushing harder isn’t closing the gap
  • Cold calls, prospecting, or asking for the close bring a wave of dread, so you make fewer calls and rush the ones you make
  • Presentations, meetings, interviews, or public speaking cost you a night of sleep and a day of recovery
  • You are a business owner or manager carrying the whole load and noticing it in your patience, your sleep, or your decisions
  • You are changing careers or stepping into a bigger role and want to walk in steady rather than bluffing
  • You want a practical, measurable plan, not motivation that fades by Wednesday

Why lowering stress comes first

Under pressure, people default to whatever is most practised, which is usually the exact habit they are trying to break. A rep who is anxious about rejection stops asking for the order. A presenter who is flooded with adrenaline reads the slides instead of talking to the room. A manager running on empty coaches by criticism because there is nothing left for patience. The numbers reflect all of this long before anyone names it.

Coaching begins by bringing the stress load down using tools that hold up in real situations: structured breathing and recovery routines, a realistic weekly plan, and simple ways to reset between calls or meetings. Clients describe the same shift: the call stops feeling like a test and starts feeling like a conversation. That is the difference between a script and a sale.

Confidence is built from evidence, not affirmations

You will not be asked to believe in yourself. You will be asked to run small, winnable reps and collect proof. Ten calls with one clear objective. One presentation to a friendly room before the important one. A practised answer to the objection that always stalls you. Confidence follows results, and then it starts producing them. Where a specific fear or long-standing pattern is in the way, clinical hypnotherapy and focused rehearsal can be added to the plan.

Hitting target becomes a byproduct

Once stress is manageable and confidence is grounded, the mechanics of performance become much easier to coach: pipeline discipline, follow-up, asking for the close, running a meeting, handling a hard conversation. These are habits, and habits form when a person is not in survival mode. The people who go on to exceed their targets do it by becoming steadier, not louder.

How performance coaching works

Coaching begins with an initial consultation that maps your role, your targets, the situations that cost you the most, your health and stress context, and the change that would matter most. From there, sessions are booked individually and paced to you, with real-world practice between sessions chosen collaboratively. How many sessions are useful, and which services apply, depends on the type of support you are looking for: some people want focused coaching around a specific goal, while others benefit from combining coaching with care for stress, sleep, or anxiety. Andrew will recommend an approach at the initial consultation, and ongoing check-ins are available for those who want a standing accountability partner.

What sessions typically cover

  • Clarifying the goal: targets, pressure points, and the safest, most useful next steps.
  • Regulation and recovery: calming, focus, and reset skills that work before and during high-pressure moments.
  • Confidence rehearsal: rehearsing the call, the pitch, the presentation, or the conversation until the response is steady.
  • Real-world reps: small, measurable practice in the field, and a review of what the evidence shows.
  • Consolidation: locking in the habits, building the weekly structure, and planning for the next quarter.

What coaching supports

The goal is less dread, more consistent activity, steadier performance under pressure, and results you can point to. Progress is tracked by changes in activity, follow-through, confidence in real situations, and the numbers that matter to your role.

A note on insurance: performance coaching on its own is not covered by extended health plans. Where sessions address a health concern such as stress, anxiety, sleep, or burnout, they may fall under naturopathic or hypnotherapy coverage depending on your plan; check with your insurer, and Andrew will clarify what applies at the initial consultation.

Performance coaching is not a substitute for medical or mental-health care. Severe anxiety, panic, burnout with physical symptoms, or low mood that is affecting daily life deserve appropriate assessment, and Andrew will discuss coordinated care when that is the stronger fit.

Frequently asked questions

Is this sales training?

No. Sales training teaches technique. Performance coaching works on the person using the technique: stress, confidence, focus, and follow-through. Most clients already know what to do; coaching helps them do it consistently.

Do I have to be in sales?

No. The same approach helps business owners, managers, professionals preparing for interviews or promotions, and anyone who has to speak or present as part of their work.

Is the coaching individualized?

Yes. Every plan is built one-to-one around your role, your targets, and the specific situations that cost you the most. There is no set curriculum; the tools, pace, and real-world practice are chosen with you, session by session.

Can sessions be virtual?

Yes. Secure video appointments are available across New Brunswick, and many clients alternate between in-person and virtual sessions.
